About the Person
Tracie Pumphrey has joined the firm to lead the new Austin office. Tracie is a Certified Public Accountant with over 27 years of experience in accounting and finance in various industries in both the public and private sectors. She has a diverse range of hands-on experiences including CFO/VP Finance for several venture backed start-up technology companies, CFO of two large nonprofit organizations, Financial Controller for Crossroads Systems, Inc. during its very successful IPO, and Tax Senior at Ernst & Young, Her industry experience includes: software, hardware, manufacturing, services, and nonprofit. She is well versed in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Technology, and Human Resources. Tracie earned her Bachelor`s Degree from Trinity University. She has lived in the Austin area for more than 20 years and she is active in Austin`s financial leadership circles. She has a passion for results, client service, and coaching professionals in career transition. Tracie joined CAFB in April 2010. She is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years experience in accounting and finance in various industries and with both the public and private sectors. Tracie is a fifth-generation Texan and grew up in San Antonio. She graduated from Trinity University with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. She started her career in the public accounting sector with the international firm, Ernst & Whinney, LLC. Her previous non-profit experience was with St. David`s Healthcare System and St. David`s Foundation, where she served as the CFO. Tracie also worked for several high-tech startups, including Crossroads Systems, Inc., where she was the twelfth employee and remained a financial leader through its highly successful IPO in October 1999. Tracie has lived in the Austin area for more than 20 years and is active in Austin`s financial leadership circles. She served as the Treasurer of her church, Dripping Springs United Methodist Church, during its most recent Capital Campaign and land acquisition. Tracie and her two young teenage sons, Cole and Jake, love their active sporting lives in Dripping Springs.
