About the Person

Stephani Kingsmill is Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Communications for Manulife. She is responsible for the Company’s global human resources organization as well as branding, communications and social responsibility. Stephani is a member of Manulife’s Executive Committee and Management Committee. Prior to her current role, Stephani was Senior Vice President and General Manager, Real Estate, responsible for Manulife’s multi-billion dollar investment portfolio of prime office and industrial properties in Canada, the US and Asia. She joined Manulife Real Estate in 2005, as Vice President, Corporate Real Estate, responsible for the Company’s facilities worldwide. She provided leadership in the execution of the real estate component of Manulife’s merger with John Hancock, the largest cross-border merger in Canadian history. Stephani joined Manulife in 1988 and gained extensive experience in the Company’s core, financial services business lines, having held increasingly senior marketing and product development positions in Manulife’s U.S. Division, Canadian Division and global third party asset management business.   Stephani was named one of the 100 most influential women in Canada by the Women’s Executive Network in two consecutive years, 2008 and 2009. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University and is a member of the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management Financial Services Advisory Board. She is a member of the Steering Committee of Greater Toronto’s CivicAction, an organization which engages civic leaders to improve the region’s social, economic and environmental future.
