About the Person
Jennifer A. McMahon is the Director of Human Resources at City of St. Charles, effective May 2, 2016. McMahon comes to the City of St. Charles from the City of Warrenville, where she served as Assistant City Administrator since 2006. There, she built the human resources function from the ground up, acted as lead negotiator for the management team in collective bargaining with the three City of Warrenville unions, managed the risk management and employee compensation programs, and led employee training and coaching programs. She is an active member of the Illinois City/County Management Association, the Illinois Public Employer Labor Relations Association, and will be inducted as president of The Legacy Project, a professional organization dedicated to the advancement of women in local government. In her spare time, McMahon volunteers as a member of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the City of Geneva. McMahon has more than 15 years` experience in government agency human resources and management. She holds a bachelor`s degree in Urban Studies from the DePaul University and a master`s degree in Urban Planning & Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
