The Office of Consumer Counsel (OCC), is an independent state agency with statutory responsibility to represent customers of Connecticut`s five regulated utilities – electric, gas, water, telephone, and to some extent, cable television, primarily in matters that go before the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA). National Security Council, The White House

Since its inception under President Truman, the Council`s function has been to advise and assist the President on national security and foreign policies. The Council also serves as the President`s principal arm for coordinating these policies among various government agencies.
