The Highlands Council is a 15-member appointed body tasked with implementation of the New Jersey Highlands Water Protection and Planning Act of 2004. The Highlands Council is advised in its actions by its Executive Director, who serves as the chief administrative officer of the Council. The Executive Director is assisted by and oversees the operations of a professional staff of planners, science experts, geographic information specialists and administrative personnel, based in Chester, NJ.

Edgecombe is a rural County situated approximately one hour`s drive east of Raleigh and two hour`s drive inland from North Carolina`s beaches. Edgecombe County`s location offers a mild year-round climate with four distinct seasons. After a brief winter snowfall or two, we know that it won`t be long until the Dogwoods begin to bloom. After a few days of hot sunbathing days in summer, we know that the local maple trees will soon begin to show the brilliant colors of fall. Family, religious worship, friends and work are treasured commodities in Edgecombe County. Edgecombe County is a beautiful spot in Eastern North Carolina. Welcome to Hartland, VT with a population of 3,223 at the last count. Hartland is a rural town located in Windsor County, just west of the Connecticut River and the New Hampshire border in Vermont`s south central region covering approximately 28,544 acres. The roadways are I-91 Interstate, US Route 5, US Route 12, and 62 miles of dirt road. This is Damon Hall built in 1915 and given to the citzens of Hartland in memory of Luther and Betsey Damon by their descendants. It now houses the Town Offices. Town meetings, elections, community events, and meetings are still held here.
