Mr. Sidney Hinton has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of PowerSecure International, Inc. (formerly Metretek Technologies Inc) since April 16, 2007. Mr. Hinton has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of PowerSecure Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of PowerSecure International since September 2000. Mr. Hinton served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of PowerSpring Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of PowerSecure International, Inc., from May 2000 to January 2001. From February 2000 to May 2000, Mr. Hinton served as an Executive-in-Residence with Carousel Capital, Charlotte, North Carolina. From February 1999 to December 1999, he served as a Vice President of Market Planning and Research at Progress Energy (formerly, Carolina Power & Light), Raleigh, North Carolina. From August 1997 to December 1998, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of IllumElex Lighting Company, Raleigh, North Carolina. From 1982 to 1997, Mr. Hinton was employed in several positions with Southern Company and Georgia Power Company, Atlanta, Georgia. He has been a Director of PowerSecure since September 2000 and PowerSecure International since June 11, 2007. Mr. Hinton holds an MBA from Emory University.
