About the Person
Matthew D. Morris, also known as Matt, is the Vice President for Administrative Services at Missouri State University. As Vice President for Administrative Services, Morris will serve as the senior executive officer responsible for providing leadership and management to administrative services units, which include environmental management; facilities management; human resources; planning, design and construction; postal services; printing services; and safety and transportation. Morris holds a Master of Business Administration from Missouri State and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pittsburg State University. Morris served as interim and associate vice president since February 2012. In that capacity, he supervised selected areas of administrative and information services. He also had responsibility for all of the administrative and information services budgets, the university`s capital appropriations and expenditures, and liaison responsibilities for the neighborhood associations with whom the university has contact. Morris also worked as director of business and support services at Missouri State-West Plains from 2006-12 and in several positions in residence life and services on the Springfield campus from 1999-2006.
