Mark is a human resource leader partnering with the Executive Leadership Team to provide strategic perspective and the execution of operational initiatives at multi-billion dollar global companies including Covidien, GE, Honeywell (formerly Allied Signal), Merck & Co., and Invensys. His effectiveness is highlighted by providing partnership and counsel to the business on optimal talent acquisition and development strategies. Prior to Medtronic`s $43 billion acquisition of Covidien in February 2015, Mark was Vice President Talent Acquisition and Planning at Covidien PLC, a $10.7B manufacturer of medical technology solutions and patient care products with 39,000 employees in more than 70 countries [NYSE: COV]. In this role he led global talent acquisition and planning spanning all regions. In his previous role, he was Vice President Talent Management where he implemented succession planning/organization capability, tracking, movement and development of key talent. Prior to joining Covidien, Mark was Vice President Global Human Resources - Controls Division at Invensys, PLC, a London based global company with sales of over $10B with 90,000 employees in over 40 countries, Previously, Mark was the Executive Director Strategic Staffing at Merck & Co. Inc., a $47 billion pharmaceutical company with 68,000 employees in 70 countries, where he was recruited into a new role leading all senior level executive search activity and developing/ implementing broad based talent acquisition strategies and programs.
