About the Person
Marcia Mendes-d`Abreu and her staff are responsible for human resources for Ontario Teachers`, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, learning and development, labour relations and facilities. Ms. Mendes-d`Abreu has more than 20 years of experience in human resources management and strategy in the retail, apparel, pharmaceutical and high-tech sectors. She joined Ontario Teachers` in 2008 from the Canadian Tire Corporation, where she was Vice-President, Human Resources, Corporate and Diversified Businesses. Ms. Mendes-d`Abreu earned an M.Sc. from Pepperdine University and a BA from McGill University. She also earned a Human Resources and Compensation Committee Certified (H.R.C.C.C.) Designation in 2009.
