Marked by more than a century of tradition since its founding by Booker T. Graduate instruction leading to master`s degrees is offered in seven of the eight colleges and schools. Doctoral degrees are offered in four of the five colleges. U.S. News and the Wall Street Journal both currently rank Tuskegee University fourth nationally among HCBUs. In its “Regional Universities South” category, U.S. News ranks Tuskegee first among Alabama HBCUs, second among regional HBCUs, and 24th among all regional public and private institutions.
