About the Company
The South Dakota Board of Regents is a governing board that controls six public universities in the U.S. state of South Dakota. These include Black Hills State University, Dakota State University, Northern State University, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, South Dakota State University, and the University of South Dakota. The Board also governs the South Dakota School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the South Dakota School for the Deaf as well as South Dakota Public Universities and Research Center, Capitol University Center, and the Higher Education Center-West River.
About the Person
Kayla Bastian is the System Director of Human Resources at The South Dakota Board of Regents. Bastian has worked in the regents` central office since 2009, when she joined the Pierre staff as a human resources research analyst. Since then, she has served as human resources coordinator/analyst and most recently as assistant director of human resources. Before joining the regents` staff, Bastian worked in human resources for Black Hills State University and as a retirement planner for the South Dakota Retirement System. As the board`s assistant HR director, Bastian led several system-wide projects and guided development and administration of new practices and processes for human resources administration.
