About the Person
Jerry Baack has over 30 years of commercial banking and regulatory experience. As the principal founder of the Company and the Bank, Mr. Baack was responsible for all aspects of the Bank`s formation, charter and regulatory approval. As the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Baack continues to play a vital role in business development. He is instrumental in defining the new strategic initiatives which may include mergers and acquisition, capital management and other innovative growth opportunities that will strategically position the Bank for continued success. Prior to establishing Bridgewater Bank, Mr. Baack was employed with Commerce Bank, Edina, First State Bank of Excelsior (nka Beacon Bank) and Hampton Bank (nka Merchants Bank). Mr. Baack began his banking career with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in 1990. As a result of the Bank`s unparalleled success, Mr. Baack was awarded Banker of the Year by the Northwestern Financial Review in 2017.
