About the Person

Danroy T. Henry, Sr., also known as Dan, has been the Chief Human Resources Officer of Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Inc. since December 2007.   Mr. Henry is responsible for the overall people strategy and the delivery of leading-edge people solutions to more than 18,000 global employees. He joined Bright Horizons in May 2004 as Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources.   From 2001 to 2004, he served as an Executive Vice President for FleetBoston Financial, where he held responsibility for the metropolitan Boston consumer banking market. He served as a Retail Market Manager of Fleet Boston Financial.   From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Henry served as the Chief People Officer for retailer Blinds To Go Superstores. He held human resources and operations leadership positions within international organizations including Blinds To Go Superstores, Inc. and Reebok International, Inc.   From 1994 to 1999, he worked in variety of senior Human Resources and operational roles for Staples, Inc., served as its Vice President of Contract Customer Service where he managed the call center operations for the business to business division.   From 1988 to 1993, he served in a variety of Human Resources roles for Pepsi Cola Company, including Area Manager of Employee and Labor relations.   Mr. Henry serves as the Chairman of the Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA). He serves as Director of the Society of Human Resource Management Foundation (SHRM) and Squash Busters. He is advisory board member of the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children. He is contributing author to Inside the Minds and has been featured in Insights magazine, a publication of the Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA) and Exec blue prints.   He has also been featured speaker at the NEHRA annual convention, The Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Conference Board and NAAHR.   Mr. Henry is graduate of Cornell University`s College of Industrial and Labor Relations.
