Asa Hutchinson was sworn in as the 46th Governor of Arkansas in January 2015, and immediately set in motion his plan to bring more jobs and economic growth to his native state. Governor Hutchinson kept a major campaign promise by working to pass the biggest income tax rate cut in state history. His initiative to require computer-coding classes in every public high school makes Arkansas a national leader and signals to businesses everywhere that our students will be prepared for the 21st century economy. As part of his strategy to market Arkansas and attract more jobs and businesses to the state, Governor Hutchinson already has met with CEOs of major industries across the globe from Silicon Valley to Germany, China, Japan, Israel, France, and Cuba. On the national stage, Governor Hutchinson has been a key leader on energy, security and education. Before being elected governor, Asa Hutchinson served as Director of the Drug Enforcement Administration and as the first Undersecretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Voters in Arkansas`s Third District also elected him to Congress three times.
The Hamilton County Sheriff`s Office (HCSO) was created on October 25, 1819 when the County of Hamilton was established. With a population of over 336,000, Hamilton is the fourth-most populous county in Tennessee. Our county was named for Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of the Treasury. As the 4th largest Sheriff`s Office in Tennessee, our operations include approximately 183 certified deputies, 161 sworn deputies, and 90 civilian staff personnel. In addition to our traditional patrol and corrections operations, our agency boasts numerous specialty divisions and units to include, but certainly not limited to SWAT, K-9, Hostage Negotiation, Unmanned Aerial Systems (Drones), Marine Patrol, Forensic Divers, Criminal Investigations, CBRNE, Forensics, Honor Guard, Fleet Management, School Resource Officers, Traffic, Public Relations, and Property and Evidence. Each year, HCSO personnel respond to thousands of calls for service throughout Hamilton County. Each day our personnel, both certified and civilian work diligently with our law enforcement partners throughout the region to ensure our citizens and visitors receive the highest quality law enforcement services possible. For two hundred years the men and women of the Hamilton County Sheriff`s Office have provided consistent law enforcement operations throughout Hamilton County. From a bygone era of mounted deputies on horseback crisscrossing wagon trails to the use of modern technology and state-of-the-art vehicles, our deputies continue to honor our agency`s rich history and uphold the legacy and traditions of those who have proudly served before us.

Edgecombe is a rural County situated approximately one hour`s drive east of Raleigh and two hour`s drive inland from North Carolina`s beaches. With a population of approximately 56,000 persons, the County maintains a firm agricultural base while supporting advanced manufacturing. The County continues to maintain its famous charm and hospitality. Tarboro, the County Seat, is particularly beautiful and offers brick paved sidewalks, a Downtown Historic District and the historic Town Common among other attractions. All of our other 10 municipalities offer something unique to what makes Edgecombe County great. The city of Rocky Mount is the largest municipality in the county. Rocky Mount is divided into two (2) counties, Nash and Edgecombe. There are jobs available within the County and our local Community College offers a wide variety of educational and skills enhancing opportunities. Within 30 minutes drive are East Carolina University, Barton College and Wesleyan College. Medical facilities within the County include Edgecombe County Health Department, Vidant Edgecombe Hospital, Vidant Multispecialty Clinic, Freedom Hill Health Center, and OIC Medical Center. Within thirty minutes drive is the nationally known East Carolina University Medical Center and Vidant Medical Center. Edgecombe County`s location offers a mild year-round climate with four distinct seasons. After a brief winter snowfall or two, we know that it won`t be long until the Dogwoods begin to bloom. After a few days of hot sunbathing days in summer, we know that the local maple trees will soon begin to show the brilliant colors of fall. Family, religious worship, friends and work are treasured commodities in Edgecombe County. Edgecombe County is a beautiful spot in Eastern North Carolina. The Office of Consumer Counsel (OCC), is an independent state agency with statutory responsibility to represent customers of Connecticut`s five regulated utilities – electric, gas, water, telephone, and to some extent, cable television, primarily in matters that go before the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA). The OCC is authorized to participate on behalf of consumer interests in all administrative and judicial forums and in any matters in which the interests of consumers with respect to public utility matters may be involved.
