Carlan Myers is the Director Human Resources at Roanoke County, Sept. 28, 2015. Myers will head the Roanoke County human resources department. Myers was hired for his expertise in compensation and benefit plans, organizational development and leadership training. Prior to that, Myers served as chief human resources officer at Kissito Healthcare. Before joining Kissito, Myers worked for American Healthcare and Medical Facilities of America. Myers earned a bachelor`s degree in business administration from Roanoke College and is the Past President of the New River Valley Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) as well as Past President of the Roanoke Chapter of the American Payroll Association (APA). Carlan has been in the HR field for over fifteen (15) years in a variety of roles, primarily in Long-Term Care. Carlan also served his country as an 8 year veteran of the United States Air Force. Carlan is married to Norma and they have two sons, Aaron and Steven.
