The facility`s unique shape reflects four years of planning and input by hundreds of nurses, doctors and patients, whose ideas have influenced the design and layout. The new hospital, scheduled to open in 2012, is the centerpiece of a $1 billion, ten-year campus redevelopment plan called the Rush Transformation.
