She worked for the Rutherford County municipality, providing services to more than 33,000 residents by working with governmental agencies and elected officials. She has also worked as the senior human resources generalist for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. Barr worked in the corporate office, where her department supported 662 retail stores and restaurants which employed more than 6,500 associates across the United States. Barr is an active member of the Tennessee chapter of International Public Management Association for Human Resources, HR International Public Management Association and the Society for Human Resources Management. She received her master`s degree in human resources management from Trevecca Nazarene University in May 2015.
