The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago—one of the largest science museums in the world—is home to more than 400,000 square feet of hands-on exhibits designed to spark scientific inquiry and creativity.
Yolanda Butler Stephens is the Vice President of Human Resources at Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, helping MSI`s more than 450 full- and part-time employees to embody MSI`s unique vision, mission and brand. Yolanda has more than 17 years of experience to excel in this position. She most recently served as senior legal counsel and human resources consultant for Vantage Legal/Solutions, a boutique human resources and legal services firm. Stephens was also formerly the director of human resources at the global public relations firm Edelman, and she served as executive director of employee labor relations at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was responsible for employee engagement, rewards and recognition, and HR processes and practices. Stephens will further help MSI create best practice policies and procedures for employees in the areas of recruitment, talent and culture, compensation and benefit administration, strategic workforce planning, organizational development, acquisition and change management. Stephens graduated with a BA from Wayne State University and her JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She lives in Frankfort, Ill. with her husband and two children.
