The company`s software features a unique security analytics engine that operates within a Spark big data platform that can analyze billions of events per hour and automatically discover unknown malicious campaigns early, without labels or training data.

 

About the Person

Yinglian Xie is the CEO and co-founder of DataVisor, Inc. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from CMU. She has been working in the area of Internet security, privacy, distributed systems, and networking. Her work has been focusing on fighting large-scale attacks to online services, where she combines parallel-computing techniques, algorithms for mining large datasets, and security-domain knowledge into a new theme of research to prevent and combat attacks ranging from fraudulent online payments, spamming, service-abuse and user-hijacking attacks, to search-result poisoning and malvertising attacks.  Yinglian has worked with many product groups at Microsoft closely and shipped a series of new techniques in production successfully. She has filed over 20 patents and her work has helped improve the security of millions of online users. Yinglian also has extensive collaborations in academia. She has been widely published in top security, networking, and systems conferences and has served on many of their committees.
