About the Person
As the Vice President of Human Resources, Walt Schwoeble is responsible for all of Akron Children`s Hospital`s HR and benefits functions, including the newly formed physician recruitment department, as well as employee health, workplace wellness programs, volunteer services, employee safety and security, and organizational and leadership development. He is also the co-leader of the hospital`s Lean Six Sigma initiatives. Schwoeble is a member of the Boy Scouts of America Great Trails Council, Board of Directors and Finance Committee and is active in the local Wadsworth Troop 406. He is also a member of Leadership Akron, Class 29. Walt earned B.S. in Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana in 1989 and M.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana in 1992.
