Founded in 1812, St. Charles County is one of the fastest growing counties in Missouri, and the state`s third largest county in both population and economic share. The mission of the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security (MOHS) is to partner with federal, state, and local emergency response personnel during both man-made and natural disasters, as well as working to prevent, protect, and respond to threats and/or acts of terrorism within our state. This office will act as the nexus for information sharing through its direction of the Mississippi Analysis and Information Center (MSAIC) and will lead efforts in "All Hazard" prevention, preparedness, and response by continuing to foster strong partnerships across professional response disciplines. MOHS will further the education of the Mississippi citizenry through awareness and outreach efforts. These efforts are accomplished through training, equipping, and informing the populace about the steps necessary to keep themselves and their communities vigilant and prepared.
The Arkansas Senate is the upper branch of the Arkansas General Assembly. The Senate consists of 35 members, each representing a district with about 83,000 people. Service in the state legislature is part-time, and many state senators have full-time jobs during the rest of the year. The Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP), under the direction of the Chief Procurement Officer, was established by DC law in 1997 and provides contracting services for selected agencies and offices in the District. The mission of OCP is to partner with vendors and District agencies to purchase quality goods and services in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost while ensuring that all purchasing actions are conducted fairly and impartially. OCP manages the purchase of approximately $5.2 billion in goods, services and construction annually, on behalf of over 76 District agencies. In its authority under the Procurement Practices Reform Act of 2010 (PPRA), OCP is responsible for both establishing procurement processing standards that conform to regulations, and monitoring the effectiveness of procurement service delivery. Procurement processing and management is executed by procurement professionals who are assigned to agency worksites to directly collaborate with program staff throughout the entire procurement process. OCP`s core programs include the DC Supply Schedule, Purchase card (P-Card) program, and the surplus property disposition and re-utilization program. OCP`s learning and certification programs support ongoing development of staff proficiency and procurement service quality.
