Violet Dean, an educator with more than 20 years of experience in the field, is Cedar Hill ISD`s Executive Director of Human Resources. Ms. Dean, formally known as Violet Maxwell, comes to Cedar Hill ISD from the Arlington school district where she served most recently as Director of Human Resources Development and Employee Relations. No stranger to the district, Ms. Dean served in Cedar Hill ISD earlier in her career as assistant principal at High Pointe Elementary, 2002-05, principal at Bray Elementary, 2005-07, and principal at Waterford Oaks Elementary, 2007-11. She was also principal at Roberta Tipps Elementary in Mansfield ISD, 2011-13. Under her leadership, both Bray and Waterford Oaks earned “exemplary” ratings from the Texas Education Agency. And in 2009, she was a finalist for Principal of the Year in Cedar Hill ISD.
