In July 2012, St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital joined SSM Health Care, a Catholic, not-for-profit health system with an international reputation as a pioneer in quality measures to improve care. With 6,500 physicians and more than 24,000 employees, SSM owns 16 hospitals in Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Illinois and Missouri and serves nearly 1.5 million people annually. In Oklahoma, SSM includes St. Anthony Hospital, Bone and Joint Hospital at St. Anthony, and St. Anthony Physicians as well as a network of 20 Saints 1st affiliated hospitals.
Regional West Medical Center is the primary regional referral center serving western Nebraska and parts of adjoining states. It is a community operated not-for-profit organization, which willingly serves anyone in need and reinvests all of its financial resources toward improving health care in its service area. Regional West Medical Center is part of a larger affiliated group of health services known collectively as Regional West Health Services and including Regional West Physicians Clinic. Regional West Medical Center`s talented and dedicated staff has helped it to expand services to include Level II trauma care, award-winning cancer treatment, and acute rehabilitation as well as to become a Bariatric Center of Excellence.
