About the Person

Veena Bricker brings more than 20 years of experience to her role as chief human resources officer. In this position she is responsible for building a strong and cohesive purpose-aligned culture for the company, and for making Optiv the employer of choice in the information security industry. Bricker is focused on attracting, growing, training and inspiring employees, while creating an even more engaged workforce. The end result will be new and innovative services and solutions, leading to higher levels of client satisfaction and loyalty.   Bricker`s background spans from start-ups to Fortune 500 organizations. She has extensive expertise in all facets of human capital management, including operations, staffing and recruiting, organizational design and development, training, compensation and benefits, employee development, employee communications, M&A, and international human resources. Bricker also has led organizations and their people through successful integration and cultural transformations.   Previously, Bricker served as senior vice president of CoreSite, a Denver-based data center solutions provider, where she was responsible for all human resources efforts, helping the company double in size in three years. Prior to joining CoreSite, she held a variety of human resources leadership roles during her eight years at Avaya, a next-generation business collaboration and communications solutions company. Among her responsibilities, Bricker led worldwide talent acquisition and the integration selection process for the Nortel acquisition, which resulted in 6,500 new employees globally. Bricker also served as vice president of human resources at McData Corporation, and held HR positions of increasing responsibility at Quest Cybersolutions, Storagetek, US West, Whirlpool Corporation and Baxter Healthcare.   Bricker earned a bachelor`s degree in psychology from Michigan State University and a master`s degree in human resources from Cornell. She also graduated from the Advanced Human Resources Executive program at the University of Michigan.
