The Arizona Court of Appeals is the intermediate appellate court for the state of Arizona. It is divided into two divisions, with a total of twenty-two judges on the court: sixteen in Division One, based in Phoenix, and six in Division Two, based in Tucson.
The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) is an Independent Federal Agency responsible for administering the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). The FRTIB helps Federal employees and members of the Uniformed Services retire with dignity by providing benefits similar to private sector 401(k) plans. The TSP is widely considered to be one of the best retirement plans in the world and a model for defined contribution plans. The FRTIB`s mission is to administer the TSP solely in the interest of its participants and beneficiaries. The TSP is one of the world`s largest defined contribution plans, managing over $480 billion for more than 5 million participants located in every time zone around the world. The FRTIB is located in Washington, DC and employs approximately 250 Federal employees. In 2011, 2012, and 2013, the Agency was voted one of the "Best Places to Work in the Federal Government" by the Partnership for Public Service.
The Treasurer of State serves as the State`s banker and is responsible for an investment portfolio of approximately $9 billion. Every day, our staff accepts deposits, reconciles accounts, prepares statements and answers customers` questions. As the bank for the State, the office provides many of the same services as private banks. On average, the office accepts more than $70 million daily in deposits from various local, state and federal sources, and credits them to the proper accounts. These deposits are made up of electronic funds transfers, checks and cash. We process between 2,000 to 3,000 checks and reconcile over 3,000 accounts daily, representing the funds of nearly 200 state agencies, boards and commissions. The Treasurer is also charged with managing the Arkansas 529 Education Savings Plan, the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) program for people with disabilities, and serves as Chairman of the Arkansas Financial Education Commission.
The Idaho State Department of Education (SDE) is a government agency supporting schools and students. We are responsible for implementing policies, distributing funds, administering statewide assessments, licensing educators, and providing accountability data. We deliver leadership, expertise, research, and technical assistance to school districts and schools to promote the academic success of students. Since its establishment in 1945, the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA) has remained focused on aiding and assisting Hoosier veterans, and qualified family members or survivors, who are eligible for benefits or advantages provided by Indiana and the U.S. government. Indiana owes a great debt to its veterans, past and present, for their personal sacrifices and dedicated service. 75 Hoosiers (1 still living) have been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in testimony to their courage and sacrifices.
