University of Mary Washington

Located in Fredericksburg, VA – between the nation`s capitol and state`s capitol – University of Mary Washington offers more than sixty undergraduate majors, minors, and courses of study through the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, and College of Education. This isn`t an education on auto-pilot. We`re one of the top public liberal arts and sciences universities in the nation. (Just check out our rankings in the most prestigious selective guides.) We`ll challenge you to make the connections that aren`t obvious: the beauty in science and the logic in theater. We`ll help you imagine broadly and think deeply. We`ll encourage you to look for the wisdom hidden inside every mistake you`ve ever made. Don`t worry – you`ll also have plenty of time for Facebook, Frisbee, and fun. This is a close-knit campus where friends are like family and opportunity bubbles up all around you. You`ll find yourself laughing out loud in the residence halls, kicking back in the Eagle`s Nest, working out in the fitness center, and generally having a great time wherever you run into good friends, which is pretty much everywhere. But we don`t make things any simpler than they should be, because you`re not going to college to be less than you are. With innovative and accessible master teachers, you`ll be inspired to think critically, engage meaningfully, and communicate effectively. Our small, highly interactive classes motivate students to prepare for, participate in, and embrace new knowledge so that they get the most out of their educational investment. Our graduates are world ready. They`re what employers are looking for: a resourceful, articulate, adaptable, disciplined problem-solver and critical thinker.

Georgia Regents University

Georgia Regents University, home of the Medical College of Georgia, is one of only four public comprehensive research institutions in the state of Georgia. Founded in 1828, the university includes nine colleges and schools with nearly 9,000 students, over 1,000 full-time faculty and nearly 7,000 staff. It houses the nation`s ninth-largest and 13th-oldest medical school, the state`s sole dental college, an aligned and integrated health system, a growing intercollegiate athletics program, the highly respected Hull College of Business, the diverse Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, among other units. With a campus of approximately 150 buildings, the university is a $1 billion-plus enterprise with statewide and national reach. The Medical College of Georgia includes a partnership campus in Athens, Ga., and satellite campuses in the Georgia cities of Albany, Rome and Savannah. A degree from GRU, an institution whose research, patient care and instruction have contributed immeasurably to advances in the state, nation and world, is greatly respected. Graduates speak highly of their GRU education, citing factors such as small class sizes, extensive faculty support and in-depth clinical training. GRU plays a leading role in incorporating technology into the curriculum. Examples include simulation labs, distance- and Internet-based instruction and customized mobile applications for students and faculty.

Stony Brook University

Stony Brook University was established in 1957 as a college for the preparation of secondary school teachers of mathematics and science; our first campus was located at Oyster Bay, Long Island, on the grounds of a former Gold Coast estate. In 1962, a new campus was built in Stony Brook, on land donated by local philanthropist Ward Melville. Part of the State University of New York system, Stony Brook now encompasses 123 buildings on 1,100 acres. In the nearly fifty years since its founding, the University has grown tremendously, and is now recognized as one of the nation`s important centers of learning and scholarship—carrying out the mandate given by the State Board of Regents in 1960 to become a university that would “stand with the finest in the country.”
