About the Company
Radnor Township, founded in 1682, is located 13 miles west of Philadelphia, PA and has a population of approximately 30,000. Radnor Township School District is Radnor Township`s only public school system, covering nearly 14 square miles and serving a diverse, multicultural population. RTSD includes one high, one middle and three elementary schools. Radnor High School (RHS) was the first school to be established in 1893 with renovations in 2015. Ithan Elementary School (IES) was built in 1963 with completed renovations in 2010; Wayne Elementary School (WES) was built in 1971 with completed renovations in 2012-13; Radnor Elementary School (RES) was built in 2001 and is Pennsylvania`s first "green" school; and the current Radnor Middle School (RMS) building was built in 2007. (Renovations are currently underway at IES and WES.) RTSD is consistently recognized as one of the finest school districts in the nation, with a vast network of parks, playgrounds, athletic fields and learning spaces.
About the Person
Todd Stitzel is the Radnor Township School District`s Director of Human Resources since Jan. 9, 2014. Stitzel comes to the district with 18 years of experience at Governor Mifflin School District. He began his career as a business education teacher and served as acting dean of students/assistant principal with Governor Mifflin High School. With experience at both the school and executive levels, Stitzel oversees a number of pivotal human resource functions on behalf of RTSD, including recruitment, labor relations and employment relations. The position also provides leadership, guidance and direction to the district`s leaders on all matters relating to human resources. Stitzel earned a bachelor`s degree in Business Education from Shippensburg University, a master`s degree in Elementary Education from Kutztown University, a Cooperative Education Certification from Temple University and a Principal Certification from Alvernia College. He also holds Professional Human Resources Management Certification from Villanova University and pursued School Business Leadership Masters Degree program at Wilkes University.
