About the Person

Thomas J. Piszcatoski is St. Mary’s Medical Center and Palm Beach Children’s Hospital’s Chief Human Resources Officer.   He is responsible for overseeing all human resource management and industrial relations operations for the 464-bed acute care hospital and its departments.   Prior to his appointment at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Piszcatoski served as the Director of Human Resources at North Central Baptist Hospital, located in San Antonio, Texas. The hospital was part of the Vanguard Health System, a recent acquisition of Tenet.   During his tenure, Piszcatoski and the team at North Central Baptist played an integral role in making significant improvements to the hospital’s operations, including but not limited to the Human Resources Department.   His extensive background in human resources, including employee engagement, organizational development/ improvement, labor relations and lean management, has allowed him to serve as an intricate component to the hospital’s positive change. Before Piszcatoski’s role at North Central Baptist, he held HR roles in three different states, including Florida, Virginia and New Jersey.   Piszcatoski earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey and also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources - SPHR.   He and his wife will be relocating to West Palm Beach, Florida from San Antonio, Texas.   They have two grown children, Allison, who graduated from Florida State University, and Christopher, who will be graduating from Auburn University later this May.
