Thomas M. Deany is the Vice President of Communications for Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. He leads internal and external communications, state and local government relations, and publication services. Tom previously was Vice President of Human Resources for Ball Aerospace. Tom has been active in a variety of community organizations and associations, including Aerospace Industries Association Workforce Steering Committee, Colorado Space Coalition, Boulder Economic Council, Boulder County Long Term Flood Recovery Board, and Louisville City Council Golf Course Advisory Board, Tom is currently on the Advisory Board of Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute, and was previously on the Board of Directors of Boulder County’s Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA). Prior to joining Ball Aerospace, Tom served as vice president of Human Resources for Leprino Foods, Ultimate Electronics and netLibrary. Tom’s experience also includes senior HR roles with Coors Brewing Company, Neodata, Kraft Foods and Miller Brewing Company. Tom holds a J.D. Law, a master’s degree in Labor and Industrial Relations, and a bachelor’s in Business (Marketing) from the University of Illinois. Tom has been a labor relations instructor, a guest speaker at Marquette University and the University of Colorado, trained as an executive coach and mediator, and was accepted to the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services roster of arbitrators. Tom is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar.
