I praksis betyr det at vi utvikler, forvalter og drifter Helsenettet – den nasjonale elektroniske infrastrukturen i helse- og omsorgssektoren og nasjonale e-helseløsninger som Helsenorge, kjernejournal og e-resept. Vi leverer også tjenester innen IKT, anskaffelser og arkiv til helseforvaltningen. Norsk helsenett er et statsforetak (SF) etablert og eid av Helse- og omsorgsdepartementet.
