As Tennessee`s largest health plan, we`ve been helping Tennesseans find their own unique paths to good health for nearly 70 years. More than that, we`re your neighbors and friends – fellow Tennesseans with deep roots of caring tradition, a focused approach to physical, financial and community good health for today, and a bright outlook for an even healthier tomorrow. Our mission is simple: peace of mind through better health. We`re an independent, not-for-profit, locally governed health plan company – meaning we live and work alongside our Tennessee business customers and plan members. Our 5,500 employees across the state have built our strong reputation for integrity, excellent service and community leadership. But we are also part of the BlueCross BlueShield Association, a nationwide association of health care plans. Because of this, our plan members have access to the same quality health benefits while traveling or living out of state that they have while in Tennessee.
Cedars-Sinai is a non-profit, academic, community-centric, Level 1 Trauma Center in Los Angeles, California. Recognized internationally, Cedars-Sinai brings together top healthcare professionals collaborating to provide exceptional patient care. A combination of patient satisfaction scores, clinical performance initiatives, excellent medical outcomes, national designations and awards and ongoing research and academic programs have earned Cedars-Sinai a top spot on the Honor Roll in the 2014-15 issue of America`s Best Hospitals by U.S. News and World Report. Out of nearly 5,000 hospitals surveyed for the annual rankings, Cedars-Sinai is among just 17 hospitals nationwide to earn the magazine’s Honor Roll designation. To be named to the Honor Roll, a hospital must be rated among the nation’s top 50 programs in at least six specialties. Cedars-Sinai was ranked in 12 categories, including: Cancer; Cardiology and Heart Surgery; Diabetes and Endocrinology; Ear, Nose and Throat; Gastroenterology and GI Surgery; Geriatrics; Gynecology; Nephrology, Neurology and Neurosurgery; Orthopedics; Pulmonology; and Urology. Cedars-Sinai has also received its fourth consecutive Magnet® recognition for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), becoming the hospital with the longest-running Magnet designation in California. Nationwide, only about 5% of hospitals have earned the four-year Magnet designation. Cedars-Sinai was the first Southern California hospital to earn the Magnet honor in 2000, and one of only six hospitals to receive this designation three times. Studies show that Magnet hospitals tend to have lower mortality and infection rates, as well as higher patient satisfaction and nurse staffing levels.
The DHA is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and ready medical force to Combatant Commands in both peacetime and wartime. The DHA supports the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high quality health services to 9.5 million Military Health System beneficiaries and is responsible for driving greater integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS. The DHA oversees the delivery of health care services like the TRICARE Health Plan, pharmacy, public health, and health information technology. DHA carries out these operations using a global health care network of military and civilian medical professionals and more than 400 military hospitals and clinics. This network strengthens the delivery of health care to MHS beneficiaries by merging proven clinical and business practices and emphasizing the experience of the patient. Exciting changes are taking place as we are in the process of reorganizing how we manage the military`s medical centers, hospitals and clinics around the world, shifting administration and management responsibility for these facilities from the Army, Navy and Air Force to the Defense Health Agency. A single integrated system will support improvements to the readiness of our operational and medical forces to meet our missions around the world, while providing outstanding care to all of those who depend on us, on the battlefield and at home.
