About the Person

Terri Cockerham served as the Chief Human Resources Officer of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools from 2013 - 2014.   Cockerham began her career with CMS in 1983 as a substitute teacher and was hired full time a year later. In her latest role, she oversaw the department responsible for the district`s 18,000-plus employees. She was named to the position in a 2013 management reorganization.   She previously served as the first principal of Hough High, after working as a principal at Providence High and Eastway Middle.
