About the Person
Susan F. Davis is Executive Vice President at Johnson Controls . Prior to that, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Johnson Controls. In June 2014, she relocated to Shanghai, China, where she is planning, organizing and mobilizing talent for a second Johnson Controls headquarters to be launched in 2017. Davis has served in positions of increasing responsibility within Johnson Controls. She was named vice president, organizational development in 1993. The following year, she was appointed Corporate vice president of Human Resources, and was named executive vice president, Human Resources in 2005. Davis joined Johnson Controls in 1985 following the acquisition of Hoover Universal, where she began her career in 1983 as a strategic planner for the automotive seating and plastics machinery business. Davis currently serves as director, Quanex Corporation, and vice chair of the Human Resources Policy Association. Davis holds a Master of Business Administration in marketing from the University of Michigan. She graduated magna cum laude with a Master of Arts in education and magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology both from Beloit College.
