About the Person
Sue has been the Chief Human Resource Officer for the Beaverton School District since 2006. As the third largest school district in Oregon, Beaverton is one of the largest employers in the state. A few of Sue's responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, developing and retaining a high quality and diverse workforce; negotiating employee benefits and contracts; staffing 51 schools; managing risk, unemployment and workers' compensation programs; and administering employee evaluation and discipline systems. In addition to Chief Human Resource Officer, Sue also has extensive experience as an Executive Administrator with regional oversight of K-12 schools, Director of Special Education, middle school principal and assistant principal, TAG specialist and a middle school teacher.
