About the Person
Steven R. Smith is the Vice President of Human Resources at Telgian Corporation. Smith brings a strong background in business operations, human resources, psychology and human behavior, business consulting and training and development to the role. Smith has more than 15 years of experience in human resources working in a variety of industries, including global manufacturing, oil and gas, transportation and logistics. At Telgian, Smith is responsible for leading human resources, safety and health initiatives, aligning human capital with business strategy, adoption of best practices, and attraction, development and retention of associates. Previously, he served as director of human resources at Clean Harbors, Inc., where he was responsible for driving human resources functions across more than 60 sites in the U.S., Canada and Trinidad/Tobago. Smith graduated from Colorado Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in human resources and organizational management. He is also the author of Lessons from the Sea and lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
