About the Person
Steve Degnan is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Nestlé Purina PetCare North America. Steve has overall HR responsibility at Nestle Purina for over 7,000 associates across 22 locations in the United States and Canada, and also provides oversight and support to Latin America. He also oversees labor relations/collective bargaining for all Nestlé operating companies in the United States. Prior to moving to Nestle Purina headquarters in 2004, Steve served as VP of HR Operations at Nestlé USA in Glendale, California, overseeing HR for manufacturing, purchasing, information systems, and logistics, as well as leading compliance and Labor Relations. Steve has been with Nestlé for 22 years and spent the first part of his career in leadership roles in production, logistics, and industrial engineering in several factories and distribution centers before joining HR. His work prior to Nestlé includes four years as an officer in the U.S. Army, 3 of those years spent in Germany in a Pershing Missile Brigade. Steve also sits on the Advisory Committee of the McDonnell International Scholars Academy at Washington University in St. Louis, as well as the boards of Guardian Angel Settlement Association and Starkloff Disability Institute in St Louis. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from La Salle University and an MBA from Washington University.
