About the Person

Stephen D. Mirante is the Executive Vice President, Human Resources for CBS Corporation. In this role, Steve oversees all HR operations within the Company including compensation, benefits, policies, equity, compensation and benefit program financial reporting, human resource information systems as well as divisional human resource generalist operations. These functions support a participant population of approximately 29,000 active employees and 70,000 legacy inactives many which are related to former Westinghouse divisions. Steve joined CBS in October, 2005.   Prior to working at CBS Corporation, Steve held a number of Senior Executive positions with various firms. He held the position of Eastern Retirement Practice Leader of Watson Wyatt Worldwide where he led a $125 million practice with a staff of over 400 consultants.   In his tenure at Watson Wyatt, Steve was also responsible for the successful launch and financial management New Jersey region multi-practice consulting office including business development, talent recruitment and development and overall client service satisfaction.   He also served as the Senior Vice President of CIGNA’s Retirement and Investment Services Division Advisory Service group. In this role he was responsible for managing the investment, compliance, actuarial and compensation needs for over 250 plan sponsors.   Steve was also the National Retirement Practice Leader and New Jersey Managing Consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Unifi Network.    Steve is a Fellow, the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow, Conference of Consulting Actuaries (Retired), an Enrolled Actuary and a Member, American Academy of Actuaries (Retired). He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany.   Steve also serves as a Management Trustee for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) Health and Retirement Funds.
