About the Person
Stanley M. Sword, also known as Stan joined QTS in February 2015, as our first Chief People Officer. Stan will be responsible for maintaining a culture, built on the company`s core values, a culture that enables QTS to identify, attract and retain the best talent. With a strategic focus on people and the value they bring, Stan will be responsible for QTS` people related programs. Prior to joining QTS, Stan spent six years as the vice president of Total Rewards for Sprint, serving a dual role as vice president of Relationship Management for Sprint`s corporate center functions. Stan joined Sprint from Applebee`s International, where he was an executive vice president and their Chief People Officer. Before Applebee`s, Stan spent seven years at Cerner Corporation, the first five years he served as Cerner`s Chief People Officer and the last two years he was the president of their Great Lakes Sales and Services Unit. Stan holds a Bachelor`s degree in Finance from the University of Illinois. He and his wife Tracy have four children and are very active in the Kansas City community supporting Harvesters, Boy Scouts of America, Hospice House and Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries. Stan is a board member for Reveal Ministries and a member of the United Way`s Tocqueville Society.
