About the Person
Stacey Peterson is the Human Resources Director at Yolo County. Prior to joining Yolo County, Peterson served as the city of Rancho Cordova`s chief “people officer” and as a human resources manager in a variety of capacities for the County of Sacramento. Peterson holds a bachelor`s and a master of arts in psychology from Sacramento State. Peterson had been HR manager in Rancho Cordova since February 2008. The city has a population of 65,000. In Rancho Cordova she oversaw recruitment, hiring and retention of city staff as well as managed employee benefit programs. She was also responsible for overseeing classification and salary plans and flexible policies and employee programs, and coordinated employee and manager development and training programs. Professionally, Peterson is a member of the International Public Management Association for Human Resources and the Northern California Human Resources Directors Association.
