Through numerous local mergers and physician recruitment, Springfield Clinic became and remains Illinois' second largest private multi-specialty clinic. While Springfield Clinic has grown in size, the same dedication to patients, commitment to quality and spirit of innovation remain present at Springfield Clinic more than 70 years later. Today, Springfield Clinic's mission is to provide the highest quality health care to the people of central Illinois and the doctors of Springfield Clinic continue to lead the way in the delivery of quality care. With nearly 400 physicians and mid-level providers, practicing in nearly 80 medical specialties and sub-specialties, Springfield Clinic serves a population of nearly one million patients throughout the central Illinois region. Patients can expect comfort and convenience when they utilize the wide variety of ancillary services provided at Springfield Clinic. These services include Lab, Radiology, Audiology, Behavioral Health, Physical Therapy and many others that complement the medical care delivered by our staff. Our network of care includes more than 20 medical offices, approximately half based in Springfield, with the balance found in neighboring cities in central Illinois. Primary care doctors (family medicine, internal medicine and pediatric medicine specialists) are available throughout the entire region, with most medical specialists located in Springfield offices. In addition to regular specialty clinics in Springfield, Clinic providers actively participate in the robust and growing Specialty Outreach program. On a regular basis, specialists travel to more than 40 destinations throughout the region --- Springfield Clinic offices, other physician offices or to local hospitals --- providing the same high quality of care that patients can expect in their primary locations. All Springfield Clinic providers stay connected to their patient records and to each other through a dynamic, state-of-the-art electronic health record system (EHR). The comprehensive implementation of the system in all Springfield Clinic offices places us among the nation's leaders in integration of EHR technology.
