Our advanced steel flywheel technology is the world’s first cost-effective, 4-hour flywheel energy storage system for utility-scale applications. As developers/manufacturers, we are able to provide value added design flexibility at each step in the project development process to create high-value, bankable projects for utilities, large energy consumers, and independent power producers. Our proprietary Amber Gen-2 Flywheel Systems© store electricity as rotational kinetic energy using an electric motor-generator to accelerate (charge) and decelerate (discharge) the flywheel.
