About the Person

Mr. Spriggs joined TIAA in 2012. He oversees all aspects of human resources strategy and execution for the organization’s global workforce, including compensation and benefits; talent acquisition, assessment, and development; organizational design and effectiveness; and diversity and inclusion. Mr. Spriggs joined TIAA from Boston Scientific, where he was a member of the Executive Management Team and leader of the HR organization, including recruiting, compensation, benefits, policies, training and leadership development for more than 25,000 employees worldwide. Prior to Boston Scientific, Mr. Spriggs held executive leadership roles at The Home Depot, Levi Strauss & Co., and CIGNA Corp., where he served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Chief Diversity Officer and President of the Cigna Foundation. He started his career in HR with United Parcel Service. Mr. Spriggs is currently a member of the Board for TIAA, FSB (TIAA Direct). He is also a member of the College of Business Administration board for Savannah State University and the HR advisory board for University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business. He is on the Board of Directors for the Institute for Corporate Productivity and is the former Chairman of the Board for the Philadelphia Urban League.
