About the Company
Since 1992, Avionica has delivered innovative aviation products and services to diverse customers, including airlines, engine and avionics manufacturers, maintenance facilities, regulatory agencies, safety boards, and militaries worldwide. Avionica is located in Miami, Florida, where our 2,800 sq. Meter campus houses a knowledgeable family of employees. With our roots in avionics test and maintenance, we believe in providing exemplary technical services and support. Avionica has over 500 global customers, including many regional, national, and international carriers. Our team, led by founders Raul Segredo and Stylian Cocalides, is dedicated to keeping customers first. We are an AS9100 certified organization and recently upgraded our quality system to ISO 9001:2008. All our products are designed and manufactured in the United States in Miami, Florida under FAA authority. Avionica qualifies under CFR 14 section 121. Our products are currently operating on over 6,000 aircraft worldwide. Avionica specializes in complete flight data and communications management solutions comprising both airborne avionics and ground support equipment. We understand that an innovative product is only part of a complete solution, so Avionica also designs and maintains many of our own Supplemental Type Certificates, and works with a worldwide network of installation service providers to provide turnkey aftermarket solutions. Many of our STCs include foreign validations from Brazil (ANAC), the European Union (EASA), and China (CAAC). We also provide support to OEMs such as Bombardier, Gulfstream, Embraer, and others who install our products in their production aircraft.
About the Person
Simone Segredo is the Vice President of Finance and Head of Human Resources at Avionica. Before her promotion, Segredo, a CPA, was a controller and director of finance. Mrs. Segredo earned her Bachelor`s degree in Accounting from Florida International University in 1992 and a Master`s degree in the Science of Taxation from the University of Miami in 1994. She began her career at Deloitte & Touche LLP and achieved Certified Public Accounting status in the fall of 1995. During her four-year tenure at the firm`s Miami office, she worked on special assignments for the national office in Washington D.C. In 1998, Mrs. Segredo accepted the position of Controller at Avionica, Inc. Since 2007, she fulfills the role of Director of Finance and Head of Human Resources. Mrs. Segredo is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
