About the Person

As Vice President of Human Resources at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Silvia Pereda oversees talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations and training for a workforce of more than 2,200 team members. Pereda reports to Philip Goldfarb, President & COO, and serves as a member of the hotel`s Executive Committee.   Pereda joins Fontainebleau with more than 24 years of leadership in Human Resources and in the hospitality industry, most recently as the Director of Human Resources at Trump National Doral Miami. Previously, Pereda served as the Director of Human Resources and Area Director of Human Resources for the Viceroy Miami at Icon Brickell and Tides South Beach. Prior to that, she held the position of Director of Human Resources at the Conrad Miami, the Sonesta Beach Resort and at Occidental Hotels and Marriott Dadeland.   Originally from New York, Pereda was raised in Queens and Long Island and began her career in administrative and concierge positions, working for hotels including the Hyatt Worldwide Sales Office, New York Sheraton and Marriott Wind Watch Hotel.   In addition to her extensive experience, Silvia served as Vice President for two terms with the Hospitality Human Resources Association.
