About the Person

Sheila Feldman and her team are tasked with attracting, developing, and retaining a world-class workforce with the diversity of skills needed to execute the company's business plans. Their responsibilities include oversight of compensation, benefits, succession planning, organizational and leadership development, training, performance management, staffing, employee relations, health services, and payroll. Additionally, she leads a team responsible for sourcing and managing the company's global real estate and facilities portfolio, including employee services; facilities engineering; and property tax, real estate, right of way and claims. Feldman has more than 30 years of experience in human resource roles for several major companies. Before joining ConocoPhillips in 2012, Feldman served as vice president, human resources for Arch Coal, Inc. from 2003. Prior to that she was vice president, human resources with Solutia Inc., a chemical company spun off from Monsanto, and as director, human resources with Monsanto. She began her career with Gould, Inc. in 1979 and later worked for Emerson Electric and Taco Bell in human resources assignments. Feldman earned a bachelor's degree in political science and human resources management from the University of Maryland in 1976 and a master's degree in public affairs and human resources management from the University of Wisconsin in 1977.
