About the Person

Sharon E. Thomas Vice President and Secretary was elected Vice President in 2005, having served as Secretary and Assistant General Counsel since 2004. She served as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary from 2002 to 2004. Prior to joining Newmont, Ms. Thomas held legal positions at Sun Microsystems, Inc., Tele-Communications, Inc. and the law firm of Holland & Hart. She has degrees from the University of Colorado School of Law and Georgetown University.
