Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College serves over 4,200 students from 30 countries, 18 states, and 155 of Georgia`s 159 counties at instructional sites in Tifton, Moultrie, Bainbridge, Blakely, and Donalsonville. ABAC students can select from 13 bachelor`s degrees ranging from Agriculture to Biology or a variety of associate degrees including a two-year degree in nursing leading to a career as a Registered Nurse. Over 1,300 students choose to live on campus in premier housing accommodations. ABAC offers degrees in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Agricultural Communication, Agricultural Education, Biology, Environmental Horticulture, History and Government, Natural Resource Management, Nursing, Rural Community Development, and Writing and Communication. Southeast New Mexico College “SENMC” was established in 1950 as the State`s first Community College and was named the Carlsbad Instructional Center. Ten years later, the Center was renamed as a branch campus of New Mexico State College System. In 1980, the campus was relocated to a new building, which was expanded with an additional wing of classrooms in 1987. In 1996, computer facility wing for occupational programs was added to the existing facilities. The newest building, the Allied Health Center was completed in 2011 to house programs in Nursing and Allied Health.
Founded as Collège du Sacré-Coeur in 1913, it was the first, and for many years the only, institution of higher learning in Northern Ontario. In 1957, it changed its name and began to exercise its full teaching and degree-granting powers. It entered into the Laurentian Federation as a founding member in 1960. The University of Sudbury is a bilingual university based in the tradition of its founding Jesuit Fathers, and committed to promoting the traditions and culture of the First Nations. Inspired by the Jesuit philosophy of education (the formation of the whole person in service to community), the University of Sudbury also has a special commitment to community engagement and service to others. The University of Sudbury`s mission consists of four commitments: to promote the search for truth and meaning, ecumenical and inter-faith relations, bilingualism and a deeper appreciation of Aboriginal culture and traditions. The University offers courses in Philosophy, Indigenous Studies, Religious Studies, Folklore and Études journalistiques – all of which are accredited towards a Laurentian University degree. The Library`s holdings and services support each of those programs. The Lucien Matte Residence is a "home away from home" for a community of 180 students. The Director of Spiritual Services organizes activities and fosters a stimulating environment for personal growth through community engagement in an ecumenical and inter-faith setting. Native elders also enhance the university experience of students by providing support services from an Aboriginal perspective. The University`s chapel is home to the St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, a community of the Diocese of Sault-Ste-Marie, and also serves as a place for ecumenical and multi-faith worship and meditation.
