In 2001, Summit Ventures, a business enterprise between local residents Win Smith and Adam Greshin, purchased Sugarbush Resort. Located in Warren, Vermont, in the Mad River Valley, the resort boasts 2600' of vertical, 4000 acres, 111 trails, and more than 20 wooded areas on the trail maps. The resort includes two mountain areas, a fully appointed Health and Racquet Club, multiple lodging options, Sugarbush Resort Golf Club, an array of dining venues and more. Year-round, the resort staffs approximately 450 employees, and in the height of the winter season employees close to 1,000. Beginning in 2005, Sugarbush embarked on an ambitious revitalization project that saw the completion of Lincoln Peak Village.Clay Brook Hotel and Residences and the Gate House Lodge were completed in December of 2006. Two skier services buildings, the Farmhouse and Schoolhouse, were completed in December of 2010. The second phase of construction is now underway at Lincoln Peak Village. The new Rice Brook Residences, 15 whole ownership townhomes and condominiums, tie together historic Sugarbush Village and the new Lincoln Peak Village and mark an important step in our long-term vision for Sugarbush Resort.
The Barbershop Harmony Society is the world`s largest all-male singing Society, with more than 23,000 members across North America; affiliated men`s and women`s organizations in more than a dozen countries bring the total number of active singers to more than 70,000 worldwide. Through active programs in music education, publishing, performance and outreach, the Society preserves and extends the reach of a uniquely American close harmony musical art form whose roots lie in African-American improvisation and European harmony traditions.
