Sarah Burgin is the Director of Human Resources at Cap America, Inc. In this role Burgin will oversee all human resource activities and legal compliance for the company such as directing employee relations, policy interpretation, talent management, training and development, and diversity. Burgin is a Workforce Investment Board of Missouri board member. She earned her BS degree from CMU in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University. Burgin has over 15 years of experience in the retail industry and over ten years experience in a management/leadership position. As a retail store manager, Burgin was responsible for the operations, finances, and human capital aspect of the business. Burgin was responsible for developing sales, analyzing local markets, serving the community, assessing and developing talent, embracing diversity, and continually monitoring and managing operating procedures. As an instructor for CMU, Burgin has been able to mentor students and help prepare them for their future careers by emphasizing academic and professional excellence. Burgin has taught numerous business related courses at CMU such as, Business Finance, Principles of Management, Human Resource Management, Small Business Management, and more.
