In addition, the GCCC Practical Nursing Program is approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing, and the Associate Degree Program is approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Certain GCCC programs have also obtained other specific individual accreditation. About the Person
Sara Koehn is the Director of Human Resources at Garden City Community College. Originally from Copeland, Koehn worked at Seward County Community College before coming to GCCC. Koehn graduated from Baker University with a bachelor`s of arts in business and is working on her master`s in business administration in human resources from Capella University, based in Minneapolis, Minn. She has 16 years of experience in human resources and is certified as an HR professional. She spent eight years in Wyoming before coming back home to southwest Kansas in 2014.
